Gymnastics Coaching Staff - Gymnastics Inc, Myrtle Beach, SC

All team and recreation gymnastics are coached by some of the best gymnastics instructors in the country and beyond. All of our experienced coaches share a passion for fitness and gymnastics. These caring individuals foster a kid-friendly environment for their students. All Gymnastics Inc. coaches are safety certified and participate in continuing education.

GYMNASTICS DIRECTOR
Maren McCarty - originally from Akron, Ohio has been with Gymnastics Inc since Fall 2004, and is USAG certified. Maren coaches preschool and recreational gymnastics classes along with competitive team at Gym Inc. . She is a former gymnast who competed all throughout high school making it to level 8. Maren also accomplished making it to states in 2001 & 2002 with her Green High School Team. She has a passion for working wtih children and previously has taught gymnastics classes at two gym clubsin Ohio which is what brought Maren into Gymnastics Inc. As a recent graduate of Coastal Carolina with a BS in Health Promotion, minor in Fitness and Sports Medicine, Maren plans to continue her career working wtih children and emphasizing good health and fitness habits.

LIZ SMOLEY - From Pittsburg, PA, Liz coaches preschool & recreation gymnastics classes. She also does birthday parties and fun gym here at Gym Inc. She has been studying jazz, tap, ballet, and point for the past 9 years, and she has 5 years of gymnastics coaching experience. She has attended clinics, coached at Camp Woodward and is USAG certified. Liz currently attends Horry Technical College, where she will graduate with a degree in Math and Science. We are thrilled to have her postive attitude on staff!

TAYLOR EDWARDS, born and raised in Myrtle Beach, SC is the newest addition to the Team Gymnastics Inc coaching staff. Taylor began gymnastics at a preschool age and began competing at the age of 7. Taylor became one of the youngest competitive Level 10 gymnasts in the state of South Carolina at the age of 12, winning numerous state titles and advancing regionally while representing SC. Taylor, sidelined with injuries, is now focusing her compassion and knowledge of the sport by coaching our Level 4's. Taylor is a senior at Carolina Forest High School and is a member of the beta club. She loves reading, shopping and sunny beach weather. Carolina Forest High School and is a member of the beta club.
